Los cambios del Hackathon ya están funcionando

marzo 16, 2012

Bueno, pues esto es todo por hoy;

The opening of the third edition of the Hackathon

marzo 5, 2012

March the 1st, 2012

Hi everyone! Today officially starts the development of the second module of DAF-Collage, the exercises.

After a while, we have finished the vocabulary module, without tiny details that would be resolved during the third edition of the Hackathon Free Software at the University of Granada (that would be commented later on), the module is totally functional.

As for interested ones, they can download or install on their own moodle, to test it, modify or even, as for enthusiasts, to resolve or communicate possible errors or bugs, that exist for sure in every new project.

Another option for people who want check it out and do not have facilities, knowledge or time to install the module, is to try it on moodle destined for official use at the University of Malaga and the University of Malaga. You can encounter it on: http://daf-collage.eu

On this website, apart from proper classes of the subjects imparted at mentioned Universities, you can encounter a section of a public access to use the vocabulary module, named as a part of a Personal Digital Assistance. In public access is sufficient to register on the platform en enter the course.

And now, as I was commenting before, tomorrow starts the third Free Software Hackathon at the University of Granada. The event is organized by E.T.S Ingenieria Informatica y Telecomunicacion. It takes places from Friday morning, March the 2nd till Monday, the 5th. For more information consult the events on our web.

For the ones that do not know the Hackathon, it can be summed up in a few words.

It is an event, in which every interested person can participate as a volunteer, developing the project, presented during the weekend. Everyone can take part in the project, computer or programming knowledge are not indispensable. The development of the project doesn’t consist only of programming, but translating, page design, publicity, publishing information etc.

After saying all that, we encourage all of you to come to the third Hackathon. Even in it was only for curiosity and to see what the event functions like. Who knows, maybe finally everybody find something interesting enough to participate.

Third Hackaton of free software at the University of Granada

January 30th, 2012

The hackaton is approaching steadily. It is really important for us, as it is the first time that we are going to assist to an event like this. Well, it is also the first time that we are going to assist to an event… However, we are going to participate in this project. We hope to see you all there. This year there are two new things: the first and the most important is that we are participating this year! The second one is that this year there will no be no credits assigned, so we can see who is participating because he likes it and who only wanted the credits :p

Just joking. We hope to see a lot of people here with us. Not only for the daf-collage sake. It is also for the sake of all the projects and the contribution to free software. People who don’t know what free software is can get some information in the oficina de software libre office of the University of Granada, but I think that it is better if you go the 2 March to ETS Ingeniería de Informática to live the experience.

In this link you will find all that we are going to do at the Hackaton and the projects in which you can collaborate. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to programme. There are lots of ways of helping.

We hope to see you there!

Back to work

marzo 5, 2012

First, I’d like to wish you all happy new year 2012.

We are full of energy after having rested a bit this Christmas. In a few days we will start the creation of the second part of our programme for moodle. It will consist of some exercises created by the teachers in order to evaluate their pupils, who can make them online using the platform.

The first weeks of the year we will finish the first part and try to see if it has problems and solve them, in order to offer you a first part fully working.

See you.

The Description of Daf-Collage

marzo 5, 2012

December 23-rd, 2011

It consists of two principal tools: the analysis tools for students and the generator of activities to facilitate the work for lecturers.

With analysis tools help the students learn how to build their own German studies.  They are divided into different categories and they offer various templates designed to take into account many aspects. The analysis tools have drop-down menu that can be extended or modified any time, adapting to every user needs. The menu helps students to create their own personas digital notebook, which is indispensable for independent studies.

On the other hand, the generator of exercises offers a series of templates that makes possible for teachers create any type of didactic or interactive activities in text, audio or audiovisual format.  They can be available in public or only for allowed users.

The aim of this website is to create various didactic materials, that can be available for everyone, who study or teach German, a collage of German, as a foreign language (Deutsch als Fremdsprache)-daf-collage.

We have some good news.

This morning Migue downloaded the Moodle module and it functioned correctly. At the beginning we were afraid of various versions, even that we were cautious, we didn’t know what was going to happen.

What is more, we have found a tiny error that has been already repaired.

We carry on, looking forward!
